The trainees organized and the employees donated: 9,000 euros! Just in time for Christmas, Sophia Franz and Jonas Jantsch, industrial clerk trainees at ODU, presented a cheque to the BRK children's cancer charity BALU together with plant manager Markus Rannetsberger.
"This generous donation gives us the opportunity to push ahead with our projects and give hope and confidence to many children and families. We would like to thank the employees of ODU from the bottom of our hearts," says Silvana Morgenstern, long-time coordinator and employee of the BALU association.
BALU Children's Cancer Aid has been committed to helping children with cancer and their families for many years. The donations are used to finance important projects that encourage the children affected and improve their quality of life. This includes, for example, therapeutic services, support with medical care or leisure projects that make everyday life easier for the children.
"We are proud of our employees and their willingness to stand up for others," emphasizes Markus Rannetsberger. "Especially at Christmas time, it is important to think of those who need special support. With this donation, we would like to show our appreciation and support the valuable work of BALU Children's Cancer Aid."
The donation was raised at this year's Christmas party. Traditionally, there is a raffle, the proceeds of which are donated. The celebration for the almost 1,000 employees is organized by the ODU trainees.
Sophia and Jonas are proud: "Organizing the Christmas party, planning the raffle and all the other activities is a huge responsibility. We are delighted that so much trust has been placed in us and that we are able to take on this important task."
ODU sees social commitment as an integral part of its corporate philosophy and regularly supports social and charitable projects in the region. The Christmas party is a symbol of cohesion and appreciation at ODU, and a sign of lived responsibility towards society. "We are proud of our community and look forward to continuing to be successful and committed together in the coming year. True to our motto "Where your work counts - #woduzählst", it becomes clear how valuable each individual is for the company and what added value we create together," emphasizes Markus Rannetsberger.
