On June 8, the ODU small-sided soccer tournament kicked off again on the FC Mühldorf sports field. Together with FC Mühldorf, ODU organized the small-sided soccer tournament for company teams for the twelfth time in a row. 19 teams with over 200 players from 13 companies from Mühldorf and the surrounding area competed against each other in over 60 games to crown the winner and thus the best company team in the region.
The soccer tournament is an integral part of the regional corporate culture and an important platform for strengthening cohesion and networking between the participating companies. "Our goal is to promote exchange and familiarization between the companies, as a strong regional network is of great benefit to us all," emphasised Dr. Henner Spelsberg, Managing Director of ODU GmbH & Co. KG. In addition to the sporting competition, the main focus was on togetherness. The teams also took the opportunity to exchange ideas and make new contacts off the pitch. "It's great to see how sport helps to break down barriers and strengthen the sense of community," says Maximilian Heinrich, CEO of FC Mühldorf.
The tournament ended with a festive award ceremony. In a hard-fought final, the team from Kraiburg TPE came out on top against the team from Netto Marken-Discount Erharting. Third place went to ViscoTec Pumpen- und Dosiertechnik GmbH. "This event once again underlines our enthusiasm and efforts to bring together the regional economy and sporting commitment. Thanks to our long-standing and successful collaboration with FC Mühldorf, it is possible to put on an event like this," says Franziska Reichenspurner, ODU Event Manager.
