Many medical devices are now „wearable“, meaning they can be worn on the body. Devices that allow diabetics to inject insulin are a common example.
In this case, small stickers on the body administer the correct dose of insulin by means of a mini‐cartridge, which can be tracked by the patient and their doctor via an app. These devices are often only the size of a matchbox – the pins/contact pins inside them must therefore be correspondingly small. ODU’s electrical contacts are available as extremely small versions and can be adapted to almost any requirement thanks to our in‐house electroplating and turning shops.
