Contact safety through springwire technology

The contact system is particularly robust and reliable due to the large number of individual contact elements! In addition, the independently mounted and parallel springwires ensure high vibration resistance and low contact resistance. This guarantees reliable transmission even with low contact forces. ODU SPRINGTAC® is therefore mainly used in sensitive areas, such as medical or measurement technology.

The ODU SPRINGTAC® Contact System offers top performance for power transmission. Regardless of the application area, these contacts ensure efficient transmission. An intelligent crimp connector system also allows flexibility in even the smallest installation space – and with up to one million mating cycles.

Reliable connections with the smallest contact diameters

Even with the smallest possible diameters of 0.76 mm, the contacts still have a large number of contact points thanks to 15 individual springwires. This large number of springwires arranged in parallel also ensures low contact resistance and constant safety.

Gold-plating

Gold is among the most corrosion resistant precious metals that are commonly used as contact coatings. It does not corrode even when exposed to aggressive environmental influences (e. g., dirt, weather, chemicals, etc.) for a prolonged period. This means that its contact properties do not degrade over time.
