NORTH CENTRAL REGIONAL SALES MANAGER

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) acts as ODU-USA, Inc.'s main point of contact and representative for all customers located within their designated region of the United States/North America.   The RSM's main objective is to increase sales for ODU, partnering with the VP of Sales North America to set and achieve corporate sales goals and objectives.

Your Tasks

  • Responsible for developing, maintaining and growing revenue at current customer accounts, including acquiring new customer accounts
  • Follows up on prospects and leads within the prescribed timeframe set by the VP of Sales
  • Responsible for clearly and accurately reporting regional activities, customer opportunities and business updates within the assigned region (and beyond, when applicable)
  • Forms key relationships both internally - with all ODU-USA departments - and externally - with customers and suppliers, maintaining these key relationships to contribute to overall success
  • Develops, grows and nurtures distribution relationships within assigned region
  • Provides sales forecasts for the assigned region of responsibility to be reviewed with VP of Sales on a quarterly basis or as needed to ensure accuracy
  • Prepares sales reports based upon bookings, product lines, assemblies, part numbers, and other criteria specified when needed
  • Ensures RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) process is completed in a timely manner
  • Takes a proactive approach when determining customer needs to enable ODU to stay current with constantly changing connector industry standards and trends
  • Communicates new product or customer requirements in order to determine the feasibility of developing new products to win new business opportunities
  • Stays current on all ODU product lines, as well as competitor products and strategies
  • Acts as technical expert of all ODU products, able to sell at the engineering level within the assigned customer base
  • Responsible for utilizing CRM to load and to update customer information, as well as sales activities (contact information, leads, opportunities, project statuses, phone calls, status updates, etc.)
  • Other related duties as required and/or assigned

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related field, or equivalent education and work experience, required
  • 3-5 years of Corporate Sales experience required
  • Prior experience in Connector Industry, Value-Added Cable Assembly or similar industry required
  • Proven business travel related experience required (50%+ travel)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and navigating other systems required
  • Knowledge of MS Dynamics, GP and CRM a plus (or equivalent)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to cultivate successful customer relationships
  • Ability to interact and develop relationships with customers, external partners and internal teams
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and able to navigate travel and changing priorities
  • Solid learning agility to learn the technical details of our products

Additional Information

  • Able to work at a computer for extended periods
  • Able to travel 50% of the time or more as needed
  • Office setting: noise levels low to moderate
